Great location! The room we got was close to the entrance. It’s a good size, bathroom is nice and clean (except for towel I used had the longest black hairs I’ve seen). Although it was by the entrance we barely heard the people coming in and out. We could hear more of the people upstairs walking around but everyone was very conscious and it would stop around 11pm. If you’re looking for an option to just sleep, it’s great!! Very good price. Entrance stairs are a little slippery!

I recently completed a 3-night stay in room 002, which comes with an ensuite bathroom. This is an excellent location, close to downtown San Diego, walking distance to Balboa park, and a short drive from a number of great neighborhoods. The house itself is spacious and modern, with state-of-the-art appliances and plenty of room in the common areas to hang around. My bedroom was a decent size, with a comfy bed and solid water pressure and temperature control in the ensuite bathroom. The wifi was strong enough for all of my work and calls, and though I could faintly hear others in their rooms, it wasn't nearly loud enough to be distracting - same as you'd expect in any other shared housing setup. The only things to note are parking can be a bit tricky late at night (meaning, you might have to park a couple of blocks away instead of right next to the house) and there weren't as many outlets in my bedroom as I'd liked (the ones that were there were also in inconvenient spots). I know these aren't necessarily things that Outsite can fix though, and these two downsides are minimal in comparison to the benefits of the place. I would definitely stay here again.

This was overall a decent experience. 3/5 stars. Room — The room we got (#4) was right at the entrance of the building. That made it so (1) we did not feel comfortable opening windows for air since the windows were at the entrance balcony and main street. And (2) we would have to keep the blinds on, in order to have privacy. I reached out to customer service, but they didn’t have any other rooms available. They should really post the rooms online so you can pick. This location also made it really loud the first night, and I woke up 3x as people would come in late / leave the house. The rooms are also not that soundproof, so if someone next door is having a meeting, you’ll hear it in your room. I even asked to move to the other location in North Park, but they said I couldn’t change. Bathroom — there is NO counter space for toothbrushes / toiletries. The three shower caddy items were also unlabeled. The toilet seat was also loose / broken. WiFi — WiFi went down in the neighborhood on the Monday where my partner and I had meetings. They did not have a backup WiFi source; and hotspotting was also limited. Fridge — It looks like someone took our food protein bars from the fridge… Parking — it’s all street parking. First night; we came at midnight and it took us 15 min to find street parking. Washer and dryer was helpful. The community manager was also helpful and very kind! There’s a really positive concept here, but needs some improvement. I’ve stayed here in the past with very different, more positive experience.

One of my favourite stays. The house is well equipped, makes you feel like home. Very close to the beach! Madison - the community manager - a pleasure to talk to, organised really cool events which helped me create stronger connections with the other Outsite people! After my stay I feel more relaxed, motivated and full of life! thank you!
