I’ve been staying at this place for a while now, and it’s been a fantastic experience. It’s much more than just a room—it’s a welcoming, communal space with a great vibe. There’s a big, well-equipped kitchen where guests often cook and hang out together, which makes it feel more like a home than a hotel. Jana, the housekeeper, does a brilliant job keeping the place clean and running smoothly. She’s friendly, helpful, and always around if you need anything. I’ve met several solo female travellers during my time here who’ve stayed long-term and really loved the place—they felt safe, comfortable, and very at home. So I’d definitely recommend it to women travelling alone as well as anyone looking for a friendly, community-oriented stay. Duncan, the host, creates a friendly, laid-back atmosphere and often takes guests out for walks and day trips. If you’re looking for a place with character, community, and a great location near the beach—this is it!

This is my third time here and it was fabulous again! The coworking space is so comfortable and it’s nice that there are others working and traveling. There’s always so much to learn when staying with people from all over the world. The bedrooms are so comfortable and plenty of bathrooms for everyone. Kitchen was fabulous with everything you could ask for and more. It’s also walkable to great supermarket. The owner, Duncan does a fabulous job running the place. I will be back!.

Absolutely loved my stay at Somewhere Different! The cozy environment and Duncan's and Rica's dedication to creating a cool atmosphere were amazing. The community vibe was fantastic, with people often cooking together, going on trekking trips, and working from the coworking rooms. Blackpool itself added to the unique experience, offering plenty of character and fun activities every weekend. Duncan and Rica were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure my comfort. The coliving atmosphere and coworking facilities were excellent. Duncan even took us on some walking tour of beautiful nearby places, which I greatly appreciated. Met amazing people from around the world and had lots of laughs. Can't recommend this place enough!

Awesome place! Awesome community! Duncan and Rica really take care of creating a cool, cozy environment. There are lots of opportunities to connect with other nomads. People often cook together, go on trekking trips, work together from one of two coworking rooms... Together with Blackpool itself that's such a unique and interesting experience. I initially booked one month with Duncan & Co @ Somewhere Different & ended up staying 3 months. The venue itself is situated by a football stadium which adds character. The people I met there were all on the same wavelength which meant coworking worked great as you could bounce ideas off each other. The rooms are quaint with everything you need, a good bathroom situation too. A big kitchen, perfect for the group dinner nights. As the only proper coworking/coliving place in the UK, it literally is a no brainer to stay
