We went here to have some drinks. The atmosphere was nice. We also order some nachos which were pretty good for the price. However, one of the heater turn off and we asked to turn it on again. They didn’t want to turn it on and did not give us a good solution. It was so cold there. In overall was a good place to meet with friends and have some drinks, despite of the high price of beer and drinks.

There is a restaurant-bar with a good brunch carte. The salmon waffle was delicious, as a coffee. The stuff is incredibly kind. A secret garden is peaceful the morning for a small breakfast .

I booked a room via booking.com, the hotel charged me and some days later cancelled my booking. They did not refund the money I payed and kept silent for weeks. Eventually I contacted booking.com and they sent me my money saying that Selina Porto was not replying their calls and emails too. Disgusting. Scammers.

I have stayed at the Selina located in Porto. The hostel is located in the heart of the city, and in the heart of the hostel (the garden that you can see in the pictures) becomes a bar that closes at 2:00 am. All the rooms overlook that garden and until you arrive at the place no one informs you of this situation. Sleeping before 2:00 am becomes an arduous mission. In addition, the receptionist, Marta, is not a friendly person who knows how to face the public.

Location is great! My main complaint would be the noise. The rooms are all facing the cafe/bar with big windows so you get bright natural light even if you're on basement floor, you have a curtain for privacy. Because of cafe/bar being in the middle, it means music blasting till 12am and sometimes after 12am. So safely to say, sound proofing is not great. Would be nice to offer some free earplugs if the sound proofing won't be improved. Like other reviews mentioned, they also have issues with mould, but luckily it wasn't too bad/visible in the room we were given.
