The location is great but everything else was not so great. I got a private room and was so excited but I immediately noticed a damp moldy smell that never went away. Since it’s rainy season my room was crawling with crickets everywhere. While not Selinas fault, I had to leave the next day as it wasn’t doable. They were getting in from all the cracks in the teepee. Everything felt pretty unclean. I don’t think my room was turned over before I arrived because all the bedding was very dirty. I had to use the bathrooms with one eye closed because they were really dingy. As a non-israeli it was an incredibly isolating experience. They all kept to themselves and didn’t acknowledge me at all. There was no one else here that wasn’t Israeli. The staff was great, helpful, attentive, and location was perfect. But to me the other stuff wasn’t worth this.

It's a tragic place! Never go there! We couldn't sleep all night because of the noise from the other guests. For a moment I thought there was a fight. They don't accept credit cards at the reception either... the place is a motel in front of the beach. A flophouse with rooms in terrible condition. We booked 2 nights and left after the first night. The service was absolutely catastrophic. We asked to be assigned to another room and they sent us to “Selina River”. That's when the worst came, the receptionist asked us in the most confrontational way “what's the problem?” When we told her about the excessive noise, Esmeralda's answer was “it's always been like this”, suggesting that it's normal to pay for a room to sleep in and not be able to sleep. The craziest part of the story was when the receptionist called the person in charge to assign us another room and in the middle of the call, very deliberately put it on speakerphone and you can hear the person in charge saying “and if they don't like it, they can !@€& off”. The way everything was handled makes it crystal clear to me that this place has absolutely no idea what it means to provide a service.

Great location in front of the beach, nice spot for surfing. Lots of restaurants nearby, including a small supermarket. BUT the hotel is very basic, our room was smaller than expected (photos of our reservation are not in line with what we got) and with no furniture to store clothes / unpack our suitcases and no decoration at all. Very humid and not clean, especially the bathroom, plus the dehumidifier in our room had moist in the water tank. No possibility to pay our stay with credit card - only cash - bank transfer not possible from foreign countries which is kind of weird for a hotel... and considering that all stores around accept credit cards.

Nice location by the beach but they don’t take credit cards at reception (you have to go to Selina river for that) and the wifi is abysmal, even within the cowork space (that you have to pay for). Ridiculous to pay $3/hr or $15 for the day for wifi that crashes every couple of seconds and doesn’t allow you to take a single call.

Very unpleasant stay, would not recommend Although the accommodation looked good and was in a nice location, there were so many problems that made it the worst stay we have been to in the last 3 weeks. - It was very noisy outside until deep in the night because of private parties in the cabin(s). We slept very little during our stay - The pool was closed for maintenance without prior notice. We paid for this accommodation because of the swimming pool among other things - There was no hot water in the room, and sometimes there was not water at all for a longer period of time - The electricity did not work properly for some parts of our stay, which meant no coffee in the morning, no WiFi and not being able to charge our phones - We noticed quite some people with large red spots or bite marks all over their legs, which that worried us. After we asked the staff about this, they explained that this was probably caused by sand flies / fleas / mites / mosquitos (chitras I believed they called them locally) whose bites are very itchy but not dangerous. You can use mosquito spray to prevent this as much as possible. Unfortunately, this was already too late for us and we experienced the heavy itching adding to our sleepless nights.
