The hostel is really nice - especially with the huge garden and river in the middle and I think once they finish the improvements to the bar/restaurant it will create an area for people to socialise more - because at the moment it doesn't really have the social vibe I was hoping for. I think the staff are great - they're all really friendly and attentive, and Cindy particularly was very helpful. The location is great - only a short walk to the centre of town, with some decent restaurants very close by. My suggestion for improvement would be to sort an extractor fan or to improve the shower curtain in the bathroom, as most times when people used it, the floor in there got totally flooded.

Splurged on my backpacking budget to stay at Socialtel and was not disappointed! There is a beautiful little river that runs through the property, a fire pit, great common spaces, hammocks, and a space for yoga/ wellness. My dorm room was great - it had a curtain, plug, and personal light. Towel included. There were a lot of families there, so the vibe was quiet. Enjoyed the free welcome drink to get to know the few other backpackers checking in that day. I was was especially grateful for Jordan and the other staff's help. He was taking care of loads of things but was still exceptionally friendly and helpful.

I loved staying at the Sociatel in Boquete! Beautiful property with the river running through and lots of (sheltered) outdoor space. Not many guests seem to spend time in those spaces though so it wasn't as easy to meet other travellers at the hostel. The dorms were good with comfortable bedding. The dorm's ensuite bathroom was above average hostel standards I'd say and I appreciated the small detail to have hooks to hang stuff (which is often missing in hostels) and it was great to have the alternative option of the outdoor bathrooms and showers (these don't seem to get cleaned as regularly though). First hot shower for me in Panama. Every staff member I interacted with here was amazing and went above and beyond, was genuinely friendly, very helpful and patiently helped with tour and transport bookings. (Only thing that seemed odd was that they charged $35 for the shuttle booking to Bocas, whereas I learned from other people on the same shuttle that they would have paid only $25 where they booked). Altogether very grateful for my stay here and Boquete was a lovely place to visit!

Beautiful grounds. The hostel is such a gem- but for a price. We liked the amenities, however it is still under construction. Online a wellness area is advertised that doesn’t even exist yet. The cubicle rooms are cool, but tiny and miss basic amenities such as a bin or storage room for your stuff. I believe this please is going to be amazing and worth the price you pay once it’s ready- but not yet. Staff is overall very helpful and friendly.

Great place with really friendly staff and clean rooms. We had to cancel our hike on mt baru on short notice due to bad weather and the friendly guy at the reception helped us to book a 4x4 for the same night so we could still get up on the Mountain. Clean rooms and hotel is beautiful. Really recommend
