Spent 8 days working remotely in San Juan del Sur and loved it! The Outsite is resort-style, complete with a pool, cafe, hammocks, and gym area. The room had a great desk for taking meetings, the internet was great for Zoom calls, and the beds were super comfy. The location was also great as it was just a 3 minute walk to get into town and 10 minute walk to the closest beach (15 minute drive to a surf beach). Would definitely recommend to other remote workers!

The villa was stunning, unbeatable view and plunge pool on balcony was amazing! Though I wouldn’t recommend the shared washroom as you can hear everything and the door locks are very loud. San Juan del Sur felt very safe and it’s quite small so very walkable and people are friendly. This was my first outsite and I was surprised at the lack of customer service or involvement from outsite. The only benefit of going through outsite vs. just booking directly through the resort is the community of other travellers, so I don’t think that’s worth nearly twice the price! If I were to stay here again I’d definitely reach out to Santa Maria resort directly. Note, if you read other reviews, villa 6 does have a dishwasher and the air conditioning is disabled.

I spent 25 days in SJDS (my first Outsite) and adored my time there. The Outsite is located inside Santa Maria Resort and they own 2 villas. The main one (villa 2) has 5 rooms and the other villa has either 2 or 3 rooms which are the studio apartments. In villa 2, there is 1 room on the main floor and 4 downstairs. The 1 on the main floor is the small room with a small window and private bathroom. That was my room and I quite liked my little hidey hole. It was cozy and the AC worked fast bc the room was so small and I was the only room in the place with consistent hot water for showers. Don’t be scared to book it cus of its size. It has an ante room with plenty of shelves and storage and a closet for your stuff. Aside from that, the resort is beautiful and the pool is gorgeous. And there is a coworking space with AC beside the pool, which makes things convenient. Id def go back to Outsite Nicaragua.

San Juan Del Sure is a gem! Perfect if you want a stable environment to focus on work and fitness without too many distractions, but social enough that it never gets boring! This Outsite is a bit different than many others because the villas are a part of a much bigger compound, so you are a bit more isolated from the outside world. It worked out great for me though, I had a blast!

Amazing place! It is a resort with apartments that you share with 4 people. The apartments are amazing.. and the views are even better! San Juan is a very nice town and the area is great (especially if you love surfing). I would recommend to rent a scooter, even though you can walk to town.
