For the past 5 years, my friends and I travel from upstate and central NY to come to Tulum- twice a year, during peak season. We discovered Mia beach club (part of Selina) one of the first times we visited the area. Quickly became our favorite beach clubs. After a few years of walking up and down the strip, discovering every nook and cranny of the place- there is no vibe that compares to Selina and Mia. This year beginning of January, we stayed at Selina for the first time. Usually we would stay in a villa 10+ minutes from the beach. In reading many reviews, especially after our actual 4 night stay in the hotel, other than just spending the day at the Mia beach club- I think maybe when people come to stay on the beaches of Tulum, they donât realize it is beach living. There are no buildings on that beach higher than 3 stories, because it is the beach and it remains somewhat protected. With that being said, the hotel was amazing! Youâre in the sand on the beach with the most amazing views, the best people, incredible DJâs, and immaculate vibes! The staff were very friendly- always willing to help. Donât forget to tip!!! Give everyone a couple of dollars every time they help, or you want help- and they bend over backwards for you. Itâs a simple concept. The location is prime, in the middle of everything and where you want to be when it comes to restaurants and night life. There is nothing better than convenience when youâre on vacation! Yes, the music plays, during normal hours of the day! Some nights they would have a night beach party, which was the best!!!! My crew and I come to Tulum for the fun of the culture there. Itâs going to be hard to stay anywhere else rather than there going forward. A/C works great, clean sheets and towels, good size room and bathroom. Water pressure is hit and miss, but the water always got hot. Again, youâre on the beaches of Tulum! I canât wait to go back! We love the staff and we are so grateful for our experiences there every year!!!!

The rooms are extremely dirty. The bathroom is disgusting and not well maintained. The sheets are dirty and damp. The towels are dirty. The staff are unfriendly. At any given time, they can move your personal belongings from your bed or remove food from the fridge and kitchen without any notice. The only plus side is that it is perfectly located on the beach in the hotel zone, but the overall experience, staff interactions, and value for money is so sub par and even terrible at times. There was few days that it rained, and the whole kitchen was flooding with water dripping from the ceiling. If you ask them to refill the hand soap or paper towels in the bathroom, it will never happen unless you follow up few times. There are spider webs in the closets and on chairs, and on the walls. The ceiling in the bathroom looks like it has mold on it. Also, be aware that they regularly fumigate the rooms so if you have your stuff laying around, they will just spray your stuff without even telling you. They also once just removed all my personal stuff on the bed and changed the sheets saying that it is protocol to do that after each 2 days of stay. Well I had originally stayed there for two weeks and they never followed their âprotocolâ. That one time that they did, they had thrown all my belongings to the side floor to do that and my loop earplugs went missing after that. The staff also can at any given time remove your food from the common kitchen/fridge area and throw them out if they want to without any notice. I would not recommend staying here if you looking for a comfortable stay with friendly staff.

You get what you pay for, but that DOES NOT mean bad! I stayed in an 8 bed mixed dormitory with a Friend, although the floors do get dirty quickly, that is understood as the whole property is sand. For the price, you will not find another on the beach, spacious, friendly accommodations. The staff was very friendly and attentive. over all I recommend especially for those who may need to work a little bit while on vacation. There where many co working spaces available.

Donât go there!!! You pay way too much for what you get here. The rooms are wet, smelly and dirty. Lights and water are not working. The Mia Beach club is so loud you feel the bass in your bed!!!!! Sleeping is not possible. And now 2h(!) later, the startet with construction work, in front of our hotel, were the party was, to rebuild the stage. You only get a service if you buy one of the beach beds that are just available if you pay 2000 pesos per person. Otherwise, you donât get any service. The hotel doesnât care about any of these issues. Will never come back and would always recommend to book something else.

Stayed in the private suite rooms were nice and beautiful view. Not a place if you want to relax music is super loud from 12 - 1am. A party place for sure. Much more variety and cost friendly options for food in town instead of beach/hotel zone.
