Selina Hotel may have an older appearance, but its charm lies in its exceptional service, prime location, and welcoming atmosphere. The staff’s friendliness truly enhances the stay, making guests feel at home. The property itself is spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and explore. Conveniently located just three minutes from a grocery store, it provides easy access to essentials. One delightful surprise? The abundance of iguanas roaming the grounds, adding to its unique character! Plus, with plenty of restaurants nearby, guests have great dining options just a short stroll away. The hotel is only 3-4 minutes from the lively Coco Bongo and just 5-10 minutes from the beach—making it an ideal spot for those looking to enjoy the best of the area. If you're looking for a great experience with warm hospitality, prime location, and a touch of local charm, this hotel is a solid choice.

Had an amazing stay at Selina! They upgraded my room for free when I got here so I was even extra happy.. the front desk and all the stuff is amazing and so supportive (especially Pilar and Marco).. as a first timer in Mexico I couldn’t be more happy for the hotel I choose! Definitely will come back.. thank you!

Review of Selina, Mexico My stay at Selina in Mexico was overall satisfactory, with a few notable aspects worth mentioning. Safety & Atmosphere: One of the key highlights of this location is the sense of safety it provides. Throughout my stay, I felt secure, which is an essential factor for any traveler, particularly when staying in shared or communal-style accommodations. The atmosphere was welcoming, largely due to the friendly and accommodating staff, who contributed positively to the overall experience. Room Conditions & Comfort: Due to the overcast weather during my visit, the rooms tended to feel quite cold, which might be something to consider depending on the season of travel. While the rooms were comfortable, additional heating options or thicker bedding could enhance guest comfort during cooler weather conditions. Policies & Deposits: A slight inconvenience was the requirement of a refundable deposit for essential items such as towels, sheets, and room keys. While understandable from an operational perspective, it could be perceived as an added hassle for guests who may not anticipate these additional steps at check-in. Facilities & Amenities: The communal areas, including the kitchen, were well-maintained, but it’s important to note that they close relatively early, around 10 PM. Guests planning to prepare meals later in the evening should adjust their schedules accordingly. Having extended access hours to the kitchen would be a welcome improvement for those with varied schedules. Overall Experience: In summary, my experience at Selina was decent, with a few areas that could be improved for greater guest convenience. The staff’s hospitality and the sense of security were standout positives, while the cooler room temperatures and early communal area closures were minor drawbacks. This location is a suitable option for travelers looking for a safe and social environment, provided they plan ahead for the facility policies and potential weather-related comfort challenges.

Great place and location makes it easy to go out. There is a nice coworking space, the wifi works well even from the room and I was able to do my work and video calls. But don’t go there if you want to sleep. I got a private room (basic) to rest but the windows don’t close fully and there is loud music all night apparently from the clubs. Maybe not a problem if you get premium rooms with better windows though. The main issue is there was no social aspect, I didn’t feel like I was in a hostel. I guess it might just have been low season but the staff also doesn’t seem to make things happen for guests to meet each other like I’ve seen in other hostels, too bad

The place is an amazing spot for a relaxing stay. Located in the party area, but still a lot of greenery and wildlife! birds, iguanas and much more! Pamela was very friendly and helpful! Great stay!
