Nice place, staff is friendly. But I was hoping for more interactions with other digital nomads. There is a lunch once a week for that and yoga on Mondays but that is pretty much it. I would have expected a daily happy hour where people could mix in the evenings but they don't sell alcohol on site. Everyone pretty much keeps their head down working here. Hard to meet people. There is a major ant problem all over the hotel, co working, in the rooms, the balconies. If there is any food anywhere they will be on it in 5 minutes (including your trash can). Hundreds of them. Some are red ants which swarmed my feet 2x there and were biting me. The coworking is not included and an extra cost. The hotel itself was a bit pricey. A few restaurants in walking distance but you need grab or a scooter to get into town. Overall I was disappointed.

My stay was delightful! The room was very beautiful and had all the essentials: a mini bar, shampoo, shower gel, etc. The decor was lovely, and the room was spacious. The hotel also has a kitchen where you can store your food and cook. I swam in the pool every morning. On Valentine’s Day, they left chocolates on the bed and a card for me! Excellent service at all times from the entire staff and very good cleanliness in the rooms! Great location also! I love Alchemy!

Lovely place to stay in Ubud. Nice facilities for making coffee and storing food. Receptionist so friendly and helpful. Room cleaning spotless everyday. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay and good value.

Outpost Penestanan is hands down one of the best coworking spaces I’ve ever been to! The space itself is beautiful, with a perfect mix of productivity and relaxation. The community here is amazing—friendly, inspiring, and always up for a good conversation. The staff are incredibly helpful and make you feel right at home. I also love the events they host, which bring people together in such a natural way. And let’s not forget the sunset views—absolutely breathtaking! If you're looking for a coworking spot in Ubud, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Many reviews here seem to be for the co-working and not the hotel. Hotel review: Great location, great staff, great cleanliness. The room included a neighbouring rooster with a delightful 6am wake up call. The view from my room was really bad - some kind of dirty car park. The pool area is unappealing, I never used it. I guess because it’s between two buildings. There’s no good common area to sit down and relax in, unless you go up to the co-work area. There’s just no atmosphere, the place felt dead. There’s a weird disconnect between the co-working and the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend this place to others, I would find somewhere else without a co-working space attached, and a more lush view from the balcony - for that real Ubud experience.
