Unfortunately, I cannot say that my stay at this property felt safe. In the early hours of April 20th, between 3 AM and 4 AM, an unknown individual broke into my room. I confronted the intruder and managed to make them leave. The following morning, I immediately informed the staff and requested a review of the CCTV footage. However, I was told that the IT manager does not work on Sundays, and that the footage would be reviewed on Monday. I was assured that they would assist with the process then. Despite this promise, as of today—Thursday—there has been no meaningful update. On Monday, staff merely told me that they “saw nothing” on the footage and insisted that no intruder entered my room. But I have a clear recollection of the incident and have noted the exact time it occurred. I pressed them again to properly check the CCTV footage, but until now, no one has provided a definitive response, nor has any footage been shared with me for police reporting purposes. It has now been four days since the incident. I still do not know who the intruder was, what time they entered, or if their face was captured. No proper security measures or investigation outcomes have been shared with me. While the staff here are generally friendly and wear warm smiles, I feel it is important to share this review as the handling of this serious incident has been inadequate. Safety should be a top priority for any accommodation, and unfortunately, I feel it was not upheld in this case. I hope future guests consider this before booking.

The rooms are in terrible states of disrepair. Dirty, blood stained smelly towels, toilet doesn’t work, everything stained and damaged. Cheap modern furniture in an unmaintained leaky concrete shell. When it rains you’ll enjoy leaky doors and all sorts of fun dysfunctions and loud noises. They literally water down the conditioner and the soaps smell rotten. Mold everywhere. Whoever owns this property, you must reinvest in the asset. You can’t just extract revenue from it, fixtures wear out. Especially the cheap residential ones you chose.

Outpost Canguu is a Scam, Buyer Beware!! So first off I booked Outpost Canggu due to it been advertised and published as a coliving accommodation that has coworking, events and regular community events. There is NO community, NO cowork at Outpost Canggu. It is simply a basic Hotel overpriced. They do not do any events and there WhatsApp community chat does not work and couldn't even get my message sent to connect with others. They only have this at their other locations in Ubud and then expect you to travel over an hour to their events. When trying to cancel because of these issues they tried to move me to Ubud not even thinking about the location difference. After staying in many co living accommodations, this was by far the worst experience I have had. Also the rooms weren't very accommodating and had stains all over my bathroom mirror. DO not recommend staying at Canggu.

The Outpost Canggu is dead, there is no activity whatsoever, there are rarely people, the pool has mold on the edges, there is only one refrigerator for the whole building and it is small, inside the room there is no desk to work at (they offer you an upgrade for even more money than they already shaved off), there are crappy little desks outside on every floor, good luck with the heat and the mosquitoes. In a hurry, I rented this place for a month, they charged me $2,100usd; there are a thousand places in the area much better and cheaper. The staff is the only thing that stands out, friendly and helpful people like everyone in Bali.

I stayed at Outpost Canggu for 17 nights, and I can’t recommend it enough! Whether you’re here for a short stay or something longer, this place has everything you need. The rates are affordable, and the overall experience is top-notch. The rooms are spotless. Frequent cleaning services keep everything cozy and inviting. Internet was fast and reliable. The bed and pillows were very comfy, and waking up to the serene view of the rice fields from the balcony was pure bliss. Outpost's location is super strategic—right in the heart of Canggu. You’re close to everything: beaches, gyms, CrossFit, fantastic restaurants, both local and international, and even co-working spaces. It’s the perfect spot for a fun, energizing, and productive stay. The real highlight of my time here was the community. The staff were some of the sweetest, most helpful people I’ve met, always ready to assist with anything you need. Fellow guests? You’ll make new friends before you realize it. Outpost Canggu is truly the perfect blend of everything you could want. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
