Worst hostel I’ve stayed at, kitchen is closed, cinema is closed, work space is closed, most rooms are under construction. Place looks like it’s going out of business. No wifi in my room, and they want to charge $50 for a private room. Also pool is green and surrounded by caution tape.

It was all great! They were very understanding and nice. Perfect location in the heart of Montanita. My family and I came last minute but was able to book without the problem. Would recommend for young people for sure. For families just be aware it’s a bit loud due to the clubs around the area but aside from that it wasn’t bad. The suit comes with parking which was great. I would definitely be coming back!

One window didn’t in the bathroom. Staff is great but this place needs investment to look nice. Paint is chipped everywhere. The kitchen needs to be renovated and cleaned more regularly. The knives and kitchen supplies were disgustingly old. It was embarrassing.

The staff was pretty welcoming and overall helpful. But, we should've known right away because he laughed when we said we were staying for 2 weeks and were there to travel and work. Literally laughed out loud and said "good luck." He was right. THE NOISE!! This place is incredibly loud at night, far noisier than we could have ever expected. This Selina is literally surrounded by clubs. Not just bars. Full on rager night clubs that blast music until 6am or later on the weekends, and on some weeknights too. The security of the building is pretty poor since there are multiple ways to get in. The locks on the door are not sufficient for American travelers staying in what appears to be a pretty sketchy area. That being said, we didn't have any issues with security. But didn't exactly feel safe either. There's no wifi in the room which is ridiculous for a place that charges far more than other hostels. I've always like the Selina brand, but as I've stayed at a few of them now, have not been impressed with their service or facilities.

Really good hostel, rooms were clean, food was good, directly at the beach. There is always a bit music, so if you like all that it‘s a perfect spot
