The location and price are good. Very close to the "downtown" with lots to do. The rooms however aren't great. We had 2 broken windows in our room. One had a huge gap to the outside and the other didn't close entirely. Obviously no TV and very bare bones with cement floor and walls. This is not an upscale hotel/resort. Look elsewhere if that is what you want. You only get 2 new towels for the rooms every 2 days and you have to pay for more (so plan accordingly). They offer nice spa treatments and other activities for reasonable prices, but understand that nothing is included in the room price. The toilet doesn't accept toilet paper, although that's not uncommon here in general. The staff is great and very nice.

A Dissapointing experience, nothing like the pictures! Selina Buzios promised a cozy and relaxing experience on the hotel premises, but what we found were old, moldy, poorly maintained amenities, and a lingering sensation that we were not getting our money's worth from our stay. Here's our experience on the topics below: The Room: We got the Standard Double Room. There were no mattress covers/protectors, our bed linen was old, and our bed base was old and moldy. The room "garden" was unkept and unusable, and there were furniture shown in the pictures that was not there. The curtains were extremely moldy. The minibar was rusty. Bathroom: The area was dirty especially in the corners. Our towels were visibly too old.The shower floor was moldy. The shower was good and so was the liquid soap and shampoo provided. Pool Area: The pool floor was disgusting, the paint/covering is peeling off and everywhere you looked you could see signs of poor maintenance: tiles missing, dirt and mold in the corners. We were too disgusted to use it. All external furniture had mold and rust in it (rust in the metal chairs by the pool bar). Breakfast: The staff was very kind and nice. Unfortunatelly, all breakfast items were bad. The bread was not fresh, eggs were visibly pre-made, bacon was dry, the cake was dry and store-bought, the waffle was frozen (like Eggos), and the fruit was kinda old. We ate the breakfast the first day, but the remaining of our stay we only drank the coffee (since it was already paid for), and had breakfast elsewhere. WiFi: WiFi signal was poor and faulty, we often had trouble buffering videos/movies in our devices. Parking: Parking is NOT guaranteed. They advertise parking included, but they only have 15 spots available, if you arrive and all spots are taken you have to pay 30 BRL a day. Co-Working and other amenities: We understand the hotel have some activities and amenities, but none of it was presented to us by the staff, so we did not know how it worked and if we could use it. We saw a big open area which had classes I suppose, but we couldn't be sure since it was not explained to us. Location: The location is awesome, clearly the best thing (sincerely one of the only good things) about staying at Selina Búzios tl;dr - Good location, but that's it. Look at the pictures, if you're looking for comfortable and clean, that's not it.

I have mixed feelings about Selina Buzios. This hostel was not well maintained. The rooms were very dirty, towels were dingy (the same towel is used for bath and pool, kind of gross). The beds have no mattress protection and not even the bare minimum of a fitted sheet, just a flat sheet and a comforter. However, there are great amenities and the location is perfect. It is near the beach, restaurants, stores, everything you need in Búzios. This place could be great if they actually kept up with it.

Didn't seem worth it, although I'm not an expert on market prices. I paid about $500 reals a night for two nights ($1080 reals total) for a suite during the month of April 2024. Bed and room size were fine, as was the shower once you figured out the personalities of the knobs. The room and washroom had dirty corners, ledges, and walls, but most everything else was OK. The waitstaff were nice, but the included breakfast was not nice. I imagine they cooked or microwaved everything at 7am and when we came to eat at 10am, they quickly re-heated it. Who knows? I ate it all. I've stayed at the no-frills Holiday Inn for less money in the US and Canada and they were tons better. They had ample parking and the location was excellent. The pool area had a cool vibe.

This hotel location and price are absolutely great! Walkable distance from Rua das Pedras (prime shopping and eating location), with tons of things to do. The room we stayed was okay. The window was broken and we had to put plastic bags to close the giant gaps. Also, extra towels cost an additional $20 (you'd think that after booking a $320 couples massage, and a massage for every guest in my party, they'd give me ONE extra towel, but no). 🤷♀️ They also switched the times of the massages for every person in my party, so that was annoying. 🙄 Breakfast was excellent 👌 The service was ok. Front desk person and restaurant staff were really nice. We drove so to park we constantly had to show our hotel tag/ room key (even though it was always THE SAME person letting people drive in / out of the hotel) and this was a bit annoying to be honest. The hotel offers different experiences to guests, some are free while others are paid. I paid for the yoga class and it was really nice.
